My Paraphrase of Philippians 3:17-4:1

Philippians 3:17-4:1
Fellow believers, join together in imitating me and fix your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. For many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. I have often spoken of them to you, and even now I tell you again in great sorrow. Their end is utter destruction, their god is their belly, and their glory is in their shame: their minds strive after earthly things.

But our citizenship is in heaven, out of which we also expect a Savior – the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly bodies so that they may become like his glorious body, through the power that enables him to make all things subject unto himself.

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, loved and longed for, my joy and my crown, stand firm in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

My Paraphrase of Philippians 4:4-7 (8-9)

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to all people. The Lord is at hand. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication and with gratitude let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers [and sisters], whatever is true, whatever is honest, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think on these things. Those things which you have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, do, and the God of peace will be with you.
